Hi campers.

With the discovery of a horrific tear  in my old Wynnster Satellite, I decided to buy a new Gelert Alaska 8 Tunnel tent.

I have always had dome tents before, but I was taken with how much headroom you get in a tunnel.  Can anyone endorse these type of tents? (Gelert in particular)

The seamwork and pole harness's look well made, the only doubt I have is the seemingly excess material which will inevitably flap and cause sleepless nights?!?

We have a Gelert Lokon Vario 5 and we cannot find fault with it.

If pitched correctly it should have no more material flap than any other make of tent , just make sure each section is stretched/pulled taught and then anchored well at each end
