It rather depends on your circumstances on whether or not this is really the right choice for you and your family.

We also have the XXL and in our opinion it is THE best tent on the market by far!!!  All of our friends that have visited us whilst we have been camping have been mega impressed with the tent.  We have the 2004 model, same tent but different colour.  My husband usually puts the tent up on his own with a little help from me when he pins the poles in the holes (I don't just sit in the car watching him, I unpack the car and roof-box and look after the children).

The tent is sooo big and roomy. We use three of the pods as bedrooms and the other pod as a store room for clothes, food and other equiptment.   The pods anre quite shallow but ample for lying down in!!

Happy camping

If you can find the 2005 model it would be even better as they have down graded the spec this year.

We have the 2005 model. its a great spec and the bedrooms are slightly larger than the 2006.We camp throughout the year, more or less, and its great if the weather is not so good as you have lots of space in the living area and its SIG means that its very cosy..

I had the 2004 model. In my opinion they have spoiled it with the 2006 model.  They have made it smaller.  I had a lot of problems with my 2004 model with poles snapping but hopefully that doesn't happen anymore.  I noticed that from the 2005 model they supplied slightly thicker poles.  I would definitiely look around and see if you can get a 2005 model.  There are still some available.

I've just bought the new canopy (which looks fab in Jay's pics) - can't wait to get mine up.  I had a look at the 2006 model and I agree with the previous posts - the 2005 model is much better - eg. you can open the windows.

Good luck, Benski
