Hi Matty,
I'm no expert on this subject, but if I'm not mistaken this tent has a Hydrostatic Head (HH) of 800mm, which, quite frankly, is just not up to the UK weather, I personally would not buy anything with a HH less than 2000 for use in the UK.
Cheers,

And why would you need an ultra violet resistant floor?------------- Life without cheese is chaos.

It is rubbish....and for the same money (including postage) you could buy 50% of something really decent out in your average camping shop.

I bought something from this guy, wasnt a tent so cant comment on the quality, but his customer service was appaling! Took 5 weeks for the item to arrive then when it finally did it was broken. After numerous emails and a few unanswered phone calls, i finally got it changed for a new one but then had to wait another 3 weeks for the delivery. I would never buy from this guy again!

That's easy! It's so that when someone sneezes inside the tent, and the outer shreads like paper, the floor is better protected from the sun for the remainder of your 2 week hols!------------- dodoharv

So what would be a reasonable "ultra budget" tent then?
I'm looking for something really cheap that I can have in the back of the car to use when I can't face the commute home (when the weather is OK).
I'm looking at the "Royal Phoenix 3 Plus " which is available locally for £25 or the "Gelert Tornado 5 " which is bigger for £42. - both at Centre Caravans
I know you get what you pay for, but I'm not likely to be out in a monsoon and I'm trying to save cash by not travelling so much (Diesel getting towards £1/l and I often have to work at an office 150 miles from home but only a couple of miles from a campsite!)

The Royal Phoenix 3 is a cracking tent, I've had one for several years and it's been fine in all weathers. Good quality no-frills tent built to an established design. I paid a lot more than £25 for mine years a ago so i'd snap it up at that price!
