Just been looking at the Sunncamp Oasis 700 tent at our local suppliers and wondered if anybody already has one of these and are they worth the money? The layout and everything seems really good (much larger that the Sunncamp stratus 8 we only bought last year ) - just really trying to justify spending so much on a new tent - when the one we've got does the job.

Hadn't considered one of these but just had a look online and they seem quite good.  I would be interested in knowing how quick (or otherwise!) they are to put up as we are new to camping and looking for something for weekends mainly (with 2 toddlers!).  Favourite to date is a Sun Valley 6 (keen on SIG and porch) - how would the Oasis compare?

The chap at our local camp shop claimed it took them 30 minutes to put up. But he does it for a living - so at a guess for me and other half ( with 2 young ones helping ) it would be more like 50 minutes to an hour until we get really use to it.

If you have a place nearby with one set up I'd really recommend you go and see one - they are quite impressive.  What impressed us was the living space, vented windows and simply plenty of room ( including a pretty decent porch size ( from what I remember). Leaving more room for the children to invade or people to sleep in at the end of the day. Also a lovely spacious and airey feeling.

I have just bought one of these tents and i have to say its excellent. Only wife and self to erect it but no real problems. Fly sheet was a little tricky but me got there.

Took two of us about 40 min to erect but i have to say that was without the instructions and it was the first time we had done it

Married men should never remember the mistakes they've made. Why double the effort!
