Hello all

Thinking about getting a new Montana 6.....want the 2006 model as I believe the bedrooms are 'as one' with a dividing curtain as opposed to what I believe the 2005 model to be....ie....completely seperate inner compartments.  Reason being young children camping and easier to remove 'dividing curtain' if kids get a little scared than all try to cram in a little 3 man inner.

All straight forward so far.....

Chap in Millets says he will get Montana 6 delivered to him no problem......I asked about 'sleeping arrangements' and he said the tent has two seperate three man inner 'pods'.....I asked is that a 2005 model???.....he said he 'thought' it was the latest model (2006)!!!

Can anyone confirm on here if 2006 model has a dividing curtain so I can tell man in shop to stop trying to sell me last years tent at this years price please.  I hate people trying to take advantage of you!!!

Thanks very much in advance for any help

Welcome manxman,

I think you'll find the 2006 model has 2 bedroom pods but with a removal (zip) dividing screen.  However, if I'm correct, when you unzip this, I think you'll find approxiamately a 3 or 4 inch "lip" at ground level, so the bottom isn't entirely flat when you open the pods up and use as one - if this makes sense!

Thanks Floss and Patrick for your quick replies.

I think I understand Patrick about the lip.....that would'nt be a problem.  Aslong as little lad could see us he would be ok I think.....Might surprise us and want his own bedroom but I doubt it!!! lol

Thanks again folks

We too have 2005 model, although about to buy trailer tent. either would be fine. our girls are 2 and 6 so we leave doors open so they don't get worried. After all that is another advantage of fully enclosed groundsheet in living area, you don't need to seal bedrooms at night time.

After all that is another advantage of fully enclosed groundsheet in living area, you don't need to seal bedrooms at night time.

You don`t need to seal the bedrooms down at night in a non-SIG tent either if you don`t want to. In warm weather it`s more comfortable to leave pod doors open at the top at the very least...and in very hot weather you take up the groundsheet and leave the pods fully open for coolness. I`d hate to be sealed up in any way on a hot night.
