well that puts an end to our camping trips for now, hopefully it will only be for a short term, but looks like it will be until the end of aug, so no camping trips for us lot, oh after all that searching for the perfect tent, well we are still going to buy it, but we will be able to buy all the neccesarys each month so spreading the cost.

I'm not sure your employer is legally allowed to impose a change of working hours without giving you ample notice and without consultation.  If you are at all concerned about having to work weekends I'd check your contract of employment and unless there is a clause which states that your employer can do this then talk to the Citizens Advice Bureau or ACAS.
