anyone got both of these Items?

do you keep your fridge in the porch?

I'm concerned about size of space and drafts as there is no SIG in the porch area..

thanks for any tips - do I have to buy a Day room?

No, but it's got rid of the blue face.
We looked at the combicool, decided it was too big, so opted for the Igloo Koolmate 40, but as I don't know how many are in your group this may not be big enough for you.
Jim.

jonellis,

We have the Apsen 700 and combicool. We have the Combicool in the living area on the right-hand side (looking into the porch area).

Between the porch and livingroom area at the bottom right, there is a small zip compartment (like a letter box), we pass the EHU lead through there.

At present we have only used electric so it has been safe inside, before using gas inside (overnight) i would first have to read the instructions or email combicool first for clarification on the fumes risk (even though the tent is well ventillated)

Electrical items such as the EHU and fridge/coolers should be kept inside a pod or SIG area, protected from puddles and condensation both.

If the CombiCool is running on gas though it should be kept in a porch because of the extra ventillation. Put it on a board though to keep it up off any groundsheet you have in the porch.

Good advice there about putting it on a board - i have a combicool and it's left a lovely hole in my SIG!!

When we used the gas we did keep it in the porch area of our tent and now we use EHU we keep it in the living area.

Although it may go back in the porch as it didn't seem to cool as much in the living area with the heater on as well!!

I suppose there might be, but there is a pilot light thus presumably some sort of safety override. (I haven`t read the manual lately.) I think though I would prefer any sort of  gas appliance to be outside the sealed in living and sleeping area, just in case.
