It's our first time to go camping, I have no knoledge of tent's what so ever !! But to clear one thing up with the ground sheet, Which is put in place first ground sheet then tent,Or tent then ground sheet inside?.
The tent is a sunncamp chateau 6, Bought of the world's largest online market. And the real night mare ... NO Instructions.
We tested erecting and dropping the tent in the wind yesterday but are out in it next fri-sun come rain or shine.
Thank's for that, At least i know im not alone at this time in the morning. Really looking forward to camping more than the two little ones i think. Does any one know or have a copy of instructions for a sunncamp chateau 6? This forum is packed with helpful people and im inpressed so far. I need to learn more about tent care yet.
What fabric is my tent made from any-one? Can't find any info on the net. Im told it's 4 years old.
Can't help with your particular tent but here are some earlier threads that mention it. You may find something in there. It's always worth doing a search to see if the question has been asked before but failing that if you start a thread with the name of the tent in the title it might catch the eye of someone who knows the answer.
Hope this helps.

Thats a frame tent isn't it? Usually made from cotton canvas, and if looked after can last for years, always dry out properly after use, and reproof every few years (get some reproofer from your local camping store). Welcome to UKCS craign. Some one who knows more about your tent will probably be online in the morning.
Welcome to the forum Craign You've bought a nice tent there.
It may look a bit daunting with all those poles, but believe me, frame tents are really easy to erect. Hopefully someone on here who owns a Chateau will be able to email you a copy of their instructions, but if not, just lay the poles out on the lawn and you should be able to tell which ones are part of the roof section (ones with corner joints as opposed to straight poles). Try laying these out flat on the lawn and build the roof section. Trial & error but when you think it all fits, lift it to half height on the legs, pull the canvas over and tie the inside tapes to the corner joints to hold the canvas on. Then hoist it up to full height and peg out.
cant believe the coincidence my name is craig and we have just bought the same tent from the same site lol(have a look at my profile pic it might even be same colour lol) spooky
found it realy easy to put up considering we have never owned a frame tent before
we did get the original instructions with it but these are just general care ect not realy in detail iff you want them let me know and ill scan them and email to you if you want it is 5 pages of just general info covering the chateay, villa, gites, continental, chalet, maison, casa 7k,cottage,vacance,hotel and ranch models it doesnt show pole positions or numbers but its realy easy to work out
if you need any help just ask ill try my best to answer you with the very little experience i have with this tent
by the way the material according to book is 100% cotton except of course for the plastic/pvc mud valance around bottom and windows

Even more of a strange one my wife to is in the nursing department and we are looking for somewhere to go around the Morcombe area this weekend coming.
no problem ill mail them to you before lunch tomorrow just dont expect too much it is general care and info not step by step pitching
