Hi bill, the waterproof backed picnic rugs are good under the table legs. We have a big old woolen blanket that we put down on the floor too. A doormat from the poundshop, usually gets binned each trip. A builders tarpaulin from b&q to put under the tent to protect it from sharp stones. Boots off at the door.------------- Debbie

eco or soft tex matting is supposed to be very good but would be quite pricey for a monty 12 at about £12 per metre.------------- Andy.... No such thing as bad weather...just the wrong clothes !!!

We buy the plastic covers that are supposed to go on cans of dogfood when you've opened them. We place them under the table legs. They are also good if you are not on a groundsheet, (ie. in a Frame Tent) and the cooker legs on your stand keep sinking into the ground!

Straw beach mats are cheap and give the tent a bit of cosiness. Free carpet samples from carpet shops are good in the sleeping area for an extra bit of luxury. They usually have some they are throwing away.

Laminate floor is nice but takes up a lot of room in the car. So we use cheap picnic rugs...
