Hi we are looking at buying our first tent and have been looking at the sunncamp APS 3006 the only problem being the lenght is 650 and we were told that the haven sites only accept 640cms or less. Do u think we would get away with the extra 10 cms? As our childrenare 4 6 n 10 rory tiger is a must (unfortunately lol) any advice on either tent choice or site greatly appreciated
to be honest how many sites actually measure the tents? I was contacted by park resorts who said the tent could be no bigger than 2 x 3 metres INC guylines!! I phoned them and it was fine.
Maybe you should conatct haven and just ask if that measuyrement inc guylines etc...
hi, weve just been to reighton sands which is a haven site (same problem with rory the tiger and my kids) and there was plenty of tents that were huge, and i dont think they would be to bothered about an extra 10cm, and if they did measure your tent just tell them that your tent had been stolen and that you had to borrow one and didnt realise it was that tiny bit bigger
hmmm hope not we are off to lakeland haven on sunday for a week as someone has already said the site states under 21ft (or to ring if over this size) now ours is under 21ft without guys but over with so im just gonna play dumb and say well tent is under 21 ft ill let you know if anyone checks it or asks us ect on our return

never argue with an idiot, they will bring you down to their level and beat you on experience
I was looking at a holiday at that park, did you think it was a good place to go? Were the facilities ok and clean? Was there enough for the kids to do? I'm sorry for all the questions, but I have 6 kids and am under the threat of death from them if I don't get it right...lol.
We have just come back from the Haven site at Littlesea and it was really good. We stated our tent was under 21 feet (as it is without the guys). Nobody said a thing. As far as the site it's self. Brilliant. Kids thought it was great. Happy kids make happy parents.
We have stayed at Lakeland Haven in our Khyam Espace (7mx6m) twice. The tents pitch in two fields. We have never had any problems regarding tent size.
A word of advice, try and pitch on the far strip which is past the toilets. There is a farm behind the nearest field and the birds are really, really noisy at 5am.
The kids love Rory Tiger. We're going to Kiln Park Haven site in Tenby on Saturday for 1 week, bargain at £85 for the week with EHU.
weve been to reighton sands many times but this last weekend we went was a bit of a disapointment, with it been the bank holiday weekend it was very very busy. The toilets could have been a lot cleaner, and they do ask for a 10.00 deposit for a key to unlock the door, the showers were ok nice and hot, They do have a laundry facility and also some irons and ironing boards which can be handy with children. The tent pitch is at the end of the site on the edge of a cliff literaly(our tent was pitched about 20mtrs from the edge but that does give one of the best views you could ask for ,look at my pics)but there is some pitches further back, but as they were all full we had no option. its got a small pool, amusment arcade a bar and a club house with evening entertainment(get in early tho to avoid disapointment of not getting a table), the shop is quit expensive so i'd recomend going into filey for food supplies. When we went we decided to go to primrose valley for the use of there pool and facilities which is fantastic, the kids love it, they only look at the passes but dont check which site your from, so you can use it FOC , as we were disapointed i spoke with a manager when we went to get our key deposit back and told him about our problems and he was very understanding, so much so that he offered to give us anouther weekend away FOC and he did advise us to posibly avoid the bank holidays,
over all yes i would go back as its only an hour from were we live and my kids love roary the tiger and bradley the bear and after all the most important thing is that the kids are happy
We own the APS 3006+ which is slightly bigger than the 3006 and have pitched on many Haven sites and have never had any problems in the past. They have never queried or questioned the size once but then it is not every day that you see the warden! Also the sites we have pitched on before have not had marked pitches. More a case of fit in where you can!
Good choice of tent, ease of pitching, good headroom, airy and light, sturdy in rough weather. Buy it and enjoy it.
Hi, I never had any probs pitching our 3006+, although at some sites in the Lakes it can get a bit tricky with tie downs. Would you consider a second hand one? I have recently just bought a bigger unit to accommodate two (getting larger kids), and have a 3006+ to sell.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
