Clean the area and once it's dry put duct tape on the inside and the outside of it. We've patched the bottom of the inner in our VV500 (user error.....) and it's fine. You might want to put a couple of strips on around the area to reinforce it if you're worried about it. ------------- Piglet

Yep- duct tape or you can get sticky back repair tape by Hi Gear, used on both sides of the hole whilst surfaces areclean and dry.
On the subject of "user error" my OH accidently cut a hole in the tent door with scissors. Ironically he was cutting a piece of repair tape for another hole we had just found, when the wind blew the unzipped door in between the blades!
I did tell him that if he is secretly harbouring a hatred of camping it may be cheaper just to tell me rather than attack the gear!

Pete, I still go hot and cold thinking about that incident! The tent had a big hole in it but it could have been so much worse. MT------------- Tackling life the Western District way

It's also worrying me MT as I'm having visions of someone running round a campsite armed with a Bow & Arrow or Crossbow!!!!!
Looks like I'll have to add an AK47 to my camping gear to protect myself

We just used Duck tape after I made a hole by slamming the boot on the sig when we just chucked it in wet.
Used it several times after - no probs!------------- "Everywhere you go, you always take the weather with you!"

This made me giggle as when we were away last year with some friends, the guy (would have to be eh!) took the frying pan off the stove and, yes, youve guessed it, put it on the groundsheet. We were not laughing at the time but some things are so funny later.
