We recently seriously considered the vario900, what put us off was the fact that the extra pods are only held on by elastic and velcro, and there were reports of the pods slipping off the main tent. I think it would cause a problem in high winds.
Pity because in all other respects its a fantastic idea for a tent...I just think suncamp need to rethink how the annex fixes to the main body
We have recently purchased a Vario 900, and we took it away for the bank holiday weekend, we are really pleased with the tent so far, we havent tried out the pods and altho redz says they are only held on by elastic and velcro they are securely pegged in with guy ropes as well. We have put ours up in about 30 to 40 mins that was the 2nd time first time took abit longer, 30 mins was without the pods as for weekends we dont need to use them.
We have used our new Vario 900 twice now and are delighted with it! Having said that we did not experience wet weather but the fact that you can do a cartwheel in the main section of the tent has to be a good thing! You can easily fit your tables and chairs in if the weather goes off the boil and the children can spread out and play without tripping you up.Our only problem has been that it takes AGES to put up. We are probably making a meal of it but we took three HOURS to put up the tent and annexes, icluding the 50 guy ropes! Nevertheless, we are so pleased with it. It is light and airy and spacious and you can fit double matresses in all the compartments, which you can't with the Vario 600.
