not sure either but when we booked at lakeland website stated under or over 21ft
when we got there nobody asked or checked the size of our tent we were just told pitch anywhere but i could see old lines in grass like for marking out football fields
i guess its just down to individual sites
-------------
never argue with an idiot, they will bring you down to their level and beat you on experience
i went to a site lastweek for a look around it was rather posh mostly caravans they told me that my tent was to big and after september their be a new law that all tents have to be sixteen feet apart erm wether he was just saying that i dont know has anyone else heard this
------------- All the coffee in Colombia won't make me a morning person!
Usually width, because they're fixated about tents "facing the road".
We were in Perthshire the other week, and EVERY tent MUST face the ROAD, and EVERY doorway MUST be aligned with the white brick embedded in the grass.
The white bricks were reasonably spaced though.
Er, that site....wasn't owned by an anal retentive woman with a fondness for hats, candlelight suppers with a poor downtrodden husband going by the name of Richard perhcance?
Blimey times must be hard since Richard retired. Wonder if she'll let Daisy and Onslow camp out?
I have usually been asked the footprint size, which is width and length. You have to park your car in front of your tent in some cases, hence both are applicable.
Ive got quite alot of brochures and read through them alot of them dont state the pitch size but when ive contacted them they have said our tent is too big (same tent as yours)
If they dont state this on there brochure surely they cant turn you away when you arrive?
