Does anyone have any experience of this tent, ease of use etc, but specifically whether it suffers from leaking that seems to affect the larger Evo 600.
Have you done a search on this site. it will bring up any previous post with the tent name in the title, or content, whatever you choose.
I like the look of these tents, but wont need one until the kids have all left home in about 12 years. I have wondered about the 600 as an overnighter, but the posts about leaks put me of. Its a yummy looking tent though.
Our 400 does have the problem with the leaking but I contacted Sunncamp about this and they said to run some seam seal around the zip area on the inside. If this didn't work, they said to return the tent to a stockist.
We haven't had a chance to apply the seam seal yet, but I think we're going to stick with this tent anyway as it is ideal for what we need and there's nothing else like it on the market. Now we know about the problem, if seam seal doesn't work I think we'll just pack a couple of extra towels to put down in front of the doors at night.
Hi Tara, thanks very much for confirming this, I'm really in two minds about this. It's the ideal size for the OH and me for weekends away, and the design looks really eyecatching, I had the oppurtunity to see the larger Evo 600 today (of course, the dealer's never had any complaints about leaks), and, as you said, really quite unique.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
