We bought a ProAction tent a few years ago and used it last weekend as friends want to borrow it.  It already had one dodgy zip from a previous trip and another broke this weekend - in the wind and rain!  The tent didn't leak though!  Wouldn't buy one again. (Friends won't be borrowing it now!.)

At least it gave me the excuse the buy another tent! Just ordered a Sunncamp one from e-awings for 150. (Pound sign doesn't work!)

We got our big  Wynnster tent from allweathers - an old model for a bargain - lovely tent-  now doing it for 150.  (I don't pay lots of money for tents but now like to have a good brand.)

We took the plung and bought the tent. It arrived last week and I pitched it on thursday. It withstood the storms on Saturday and looks like it'll do us proud!

From the sound of your replies it seems that if you get a good one you'll be fine for some time but if you get a bad one your in trouble. I have noticed that some of the stitching on the seems although quite adequet looks like it hasn't been finished off and therefore looks like its fraying! Lets hope I've got a goods one.

We love our Nevada, it's getting another airing this coming weekend, up to Filey then across to Flamingoland!

Loads of room, no hassle,simple to use, and if it only lasts a couple of years then so be it. I'll be looking for a change anyway knowing me and my fads...lol

It all went wrong!!!!

But to be fair the tent wasn't to blame. We lost the tent in a gale, but it had stood one hell of a bashing first. On the site I saw Outwells and Suncamps also flattened. The fact that the tent didn't move was probably the reason the flexi fibre glass poles snapped.

On the plus side, when I told Argos what had happened they immediately offered a replacement. As they didn't have any Nevadas in stock they are sending us a 9 berth dome... Not bad huh?
