I've read about a safe for Tom Tom Sat Nav devices that you can fix in your car, perhaps useful for small items like mobiles etc.

Mmmh got me thinking might see if I can find something for the boot, would be good for everyday use.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to reply.

The car it is then!!   We won't be taking anything of great value but the kids will have their MP3's and we'll have our mobiles. We're taking the dog but obviously he won't be left in the tent when we're out and about.(That's a diffent question topic about to come up)

Maybe I'm just too cynical and believe if it isn't nailed down that it'll walk!!!
