hi all off to france tomorrow with the monty iam not happy with the porch pole its to long has anyone cut this to fit iam very tempted ive got the hack saw out will i?
Do you mean its too long that it doesn't fit, or too long that it is just a bit tight getting it in. If its too long full stop then the ideal solution would be to contact Outwell or the shop where you got it to get the correct sized one. If you cut it down then 2 things could happen....if you accidently cut it too short then the porch could sag and also it would void the warranty. Obviously since you are going tomorrow contacting Outwell is out of the question. The other solution is to buy some fibreglass poles and put them together to be the size you require.
i think its about 2inches to long . i got it in with a struggle but it seems to be pushing into the tent iam frightend its going to cause damage maybe i will contact outwell when i return
My porch pole was the correct size too. Maybe someone with a monty 6 thats their poles fit could measure their pole and you could compare the size and see if yours is longer.
