The "yeomans" tents are good value, both my bro-in-law and I have them.
If you're going to be camping every weekend then it's worth paying more. If like us it's a few times a year when the weather is half decent then you don't need to spend so much.
I'm at the stage now where I'd like a monty, but a) can't really afford it; b) can't justify it "this" year.
forgot to mention, I went down the stormproof route too! At least you found this place first!!
have a look on the free ads on ukcampsite, would think you would get a better deal from that, plus we are selling a outwell colarado 5, if you are interested!!!
go to my home page and email me and i'll send you some photo's, don't know what you mean by, full sig?!! i must be thick sorry!! there are two inner bedrooms seperate trom outer tent but as i say i'll send you photo's if you want to look at it,
Hi. Whatever you do stick with reputable dealers and tent brands. If anything goes wrong, you will get it sorted with a good dealer. Not much chance of that with some of the sharks on Ebay! It's like everything in life.....you get what you pay for. Have fun!
If you do go for something off e-bay, make sure you can either see a picture before bidding ( not a copy from a catalogue, but actual tent ).If you can't ask to see it erected, or bid on condition you can see it before purchasing it. If you go into the 'ask a question' section any reputable seller will probably be very helpful.
We 'won' our Raclet 6 berth frame tent on e-bay earlier this year and it is fantastic. Only paid £45.00 for it.
We have, however, just bought another frame tent from our local news paper, it is bigger which suits us better. So you could look in your local papers ortrade papers.
Its not all bad off e bay, stay clear of Cyber check out, I think they call it and as said previously the USA tents. Skandia are a German make and are building a decent reputaion over here. Had one years ago when I was in Germany and had no problems with it. Off E bay go for private sellers of brand known tents you can pick up a bargain, I did last year got a brand new Wynnster Condor 6 for £90. you just have to be careful, or as said go to a reputable supplier, they wil give you the help you require and talk you through what you want and need.
homer1961, just found out what sig means and no the main tent doesn't, the bedrooms do!! sorry again just read what it means on another thread!! bit thick to all this tent talk but i'm learning slow but sure, there is a photo of it on my home page.
We bought a tent from ebay last year, It wasn't a brand we had heard of before, but it was such a bargain.... BIG MISTAKE.... we pitched it ok, it was easy enough. Went out for the evening had a bit of rain.... come back and the beds were wet, good job I hadn't been drinking, put everything (apart from the tent) in the car and trailer and drove home..... Would never buy a tent from ebay ever again... You need to see it before you buy....
