Has anyone got any recommendations for a tent to sleep 2 kids? We are probably off to the Lakes next week for a couple of nights, but I was only planning on taking a small tent, and now the kids want to invite their cousin, so I'm toying with 2 small tents instead of one big one. Any thoughts?------------- All the best,
Alison

One of the inexpensive quick throw up tents (that is on how they pitch, not on making you vomit!), like the Gelert Quick Pitch SS.

Light and easy to carry, quick to sling up.

Thanks everyone, I fancy a quickpitch one, but I don't think it would fit in my boot! I'll bear the suggestions in mind, but if i do go with it it'll be a last minute purchase, so it might end up depending on what is in the shop! Go Outdoors looks promising, and I might try to get over to Tesco this week.
I don't even know if we are going to go, of if my neice will want to come if we go... It's all a bit of a mess really!

I would go with the vango delta 200 or 300 cheap, waterproof, easy to put up and they also have porch so you don't have to sleep with bags and shoes.
i would try and avoid the tesco tents as i imagine the cheap ones won't be that waterproof or wind sturdy.
If you need one asap try blacks or millets or halfords as they have sales on at the minute.

I'd go with the Vango Deltas - it's worth paying that bit extra for good quality, espcially if you're putting your kids in it (or am I just soft!!).
The 300 + looks great with an extra porch on the back - Wildday are doing them for £58 at the mo or you can get the standard 300 for £48.
Either way they look the business.

Hi I just recently purchased for my teenage daughter the Campus Calgary 2 Man Tent £25.45 from Outdoor World. It actually fits three people quite comfy, 4 at a push (large teenagers). Its a lovely little tent and very easy to put up, personally I agree with Peety I would rather spend my money on a 'proper' tent and you will be able to get a lot more use out of it than the Tesco brands.

Thanks everyone - trip cancelled, although it may come up again later in the summer, so I've made some notes. ------------- All the best,

Since you're in Manchester why not go & have a look at Decathlon - they have some great popup tents.

I've looked at the pop ups, and they look great, but I want to be able to get everything in my Yaris, and although they are flat they are quite a large diameter. Sad isn't it when a pop up tent won't fit in the car! Anyway the trip is off for now, so I don't need to worry for the moment. Thanks anyway!------------- All the best,
Alison
