Help! have a La Playa Traveller 2 double burner stove with regulator supplied. What i have found i don't know is which    brand of propane/butane bottle will fit this stove/regulator.
Going first time camping tomorrow morning too!
Can any of you great camping people help me out & also tell me what sort of place is the best - cheapest to buy gas from, hardware - garage - camping shop?

Well it's butane 'cos it say's so. You need the 4.5Kg Blue ones, available from loadsa garages. You might be able to get an empty cannister F.O.C. from your local tip, in which case, take it to a garage / camp shop / site shop etc and swap it for a full one...unsure of the cost though.

Well, presumably it`s a butane regulator? Blue bottle gas, like CampingGaz.If you`ve got all the space in the world to pack into, yes, buy a 4.5 Kg bottle. If space is tight go for a CampingGaz 907.

Best thing to do is to take it with you when you go for gas. And perhaps best to go to a camping shop, where they can advise. It`s not the gas that`s the expensive bit, btw...you have to buy the bottle too first time round. That`s why it`s worth looking in the local tip for an empty, as suggested above.

...It could be a 'Campingaz' regulator, which won't fit a 'Calor' bottle... Perhaps you could just change the 'regulator' to a 'Calor' one (if needs be). A local camping shop should be able to advise you and provide the regulator (again, if need be). They only cost about a fiver...
