Well our 3 weeks under canvas commences tomorrow.

One week at the New Wine (it's a Christian not wine tasters) festival just amile down the road from home. Yes we could come home and sleep in our beds and have lush showers every day, but that's just not the spirit!

Home for a day and then off to St Gwithians (just outside Hayle in Cornwall) for 2 further weeks.

I am so looking forward to it. As long as it stays dry for the erecting (ooh er missus)and dismantling, not hugely bothered if the weather is a bit mixed. have to be honest though and say i can't stand it if it buckets down persistently day after day.

Will post a review of St Gwithian's on my return (the current reviews are all really good - looking forward to the pizza and curry vans!).

I would be very interested in what you have to say about Gwithian.. My family and I (5 in total) are going camping for the very first time and we have booked Gwitian for the last two weeks in August. The reviews all looked great but none seemed to mention what the ground is like (i.e is it level, being near to the dunes, is it very sandy ect). As a newbie I am not sure how important that info is, but I kinda feel I need to know
