Hi,

Had a great weekend camping, but the porch pole on tent sanpped. Has this happened to anyone else? Our pole has always seemed tight and we have struggled to get it into the little black caps.

Mind you didn't stop us enjoying our camping. Will email Outwell though only bought the thing in February.

Hi.

We have a Montana 4, the porch pole is indeed tight, but luckily we have never had problems to get it into the black caps. It must have been really tight if it has snapped, so there could indeed be a fault with it?

Some of the porch poles produced were too long.  There was a few at the start of the season that were about 2 inches longer than they should be.  There were a few threads on here about it.  Outwell or the shop you bought it from should replace it.  Alternatively, if you have problems, you can make one using thin fibreglass pole sections.  I found this to be better as you can make it just that little bit shorter so the cups don't touch the fabric.

At least you can rest assured that Outwell will rectify your problem as their service is second to none, compare the service to that you get when a computer breaks down.
