Had a b&q gazebo that nearly toppled over in the storm on weds eve (had to be dismantled whilst the thunder and lightening came down) and its not waterproof. Have now decided need a sturdy waterproof gazebo/shelter to cook in/eat in and to escape from children - any suggestions - have had a look on the net at the khyam garden shelter hex poly and the outwell oklahoma as well as the royal summerhouse but would appreciate advice/suggestions.
Well, we brought a Sunncamp Day Room from PJ Camping in St Albans after going to a site that wouldn't let us use our gazebo.
The Day Room is a good un - much more sturdier than a gazebo and, to be honest, the gazebo doesn't get a look in anymore (just gathers dust at the back of the shed!!)
------------- Just got back from a bril week in Dorset!! going back again soon.
The consensus of opinion from previous posts suggests that the Khyam Day Shelter, Outwell Oklahoma and Sunncamp Dayroom are probably the best ones to go for.
Alternatively, if your feeling flush, you might consider the Khyam Screenhouse, but that one weighs in at about a hundred quid dearer than the others.
I bought a Royal Dayroom 2 weeks ago - and had it pitched in the garden. Despite very high winds, and torrential storms, it has been 100% dry and secure.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
