hi, i posted a message a few weeks ago asking people to help me convince my wife to come camping with myself and two kids . we have just returned from spending 4 days in keswick on a fantastic site , surrounded buy the most spectacular scenery . we have had sun wind and rain , we arrived in glorious sunshine and left with the wind and rain . my wife loved every second of the trip she actualy admited it had been one of the best breaks we have had , we all mucked in and spent the evenings sat outside our tent relaxing not even knowing what time it was . i had a idea she was enjoying the trip when we were in keswick window shopping , she bought new walking trousers /skirt /hat . she also bought a couple of folding chairs /table /kettle and little gadgets . on the journey home we were talking about a bigger tent and a roof box even though we have a estate car . my wife is now 43 and in her youth was a part time model and very prim and proper so i never thought i would be writing this now saying how much she enjoyed it , we are all sat in the house tonight all rather tired we being kept awake with the heavy wind and rain from last night , and it is now 7pm and the tv has not even been touched ,so peacefull and my favorite part of tonight is my wife reading the camping magazine she bought . so my advice for anyone thinking of camping is try it with a open mind you might just enjoy like we did .thanks to all those who posted on my origanal post it was worth it .
yup im with the wife on this one i really expected to hate but (SHHHHH!) i LOVE it i keep up the pretence of putting myself out for appearance sake so please don t tell the oh but i am a happy happy camper!!!!
