I have a Vango Diablo 900 with a broken fibreglass pole.  Does anyone know where to get a replacement set?  I have a repair kit but the diablo poles are heavier duty than the ones supplied in the kit.  One section snapped in half so it isn't just a case of re-threding.  I would welcome any advice.

Contact Vango direct.  They guarantee their poles.  I've heard of people just getting a new pole by simply contacting them and sending old pole.  Think website is www.vango.co.uk.

I misplaced a small but important bendy connection pole for my aspen. Rang vango and 10 days later they sent me two replacement poles for free! Not even P&P was charged! Great service! We spoke to a guy named James, he was very helpful. Good luck with yours.

This post resurfaced thanks to Harbourmaster.

Julesy I think you must have caught vango after sales on a good day. I had nothing but trouble and a run-around when I tried to get some matching material to repair our tent (I was willing to pay). This was because I was honest and said how the tent was damaged.

I would never buy a vango again because of this service.

I would recommend tent valeting servicees in bolton. They have done an excellant job of repair.

I had a broken pole on my Diablo 900 towards the end of last summer.

I contacted Vango aftersales and they wouldn't offer me a replacement because the damage was caused during 'extreme weather' (Wales, late Aug !!) and is not covered by their warranty. Instead they sent me an e-mail with a link to a site of a camping outlet that apparently stocked the pole that I required....they didn't (I needed the end pole with a normal ferrule one end and a strenghthened ferrule the other for the ring pin).

Vango didn't seem interested so I went to my local camping shop who luckily dug a pole out of the 'odds and sods bin' which I had to cut down to size and epoxy resin the salvaged heavy duty ferrule on one end.

Works fine now, but I was not over -impressed with Vango aftersales, although some on here can't praise them enough. They seem somewhat hit and miss, and I missed !!
