hi we bought one of these tents from decathlon about 2 months ago.we used it 4 the 1st time at shell island about 5 weeks ago when the weather was horrendous.at 11:30 we ended up taking it down due to the winds (although it never leaked),has ne 1 else got 1 of these tents and if so i would appreciate any feedback on it as we want to go camping again soon and with 3 kids and wonder wether its worth using again.we only paid 100 pounds and other than the wind flattening it (along with about 300 other tents on the island ) it did seem a decent tent
I have managed to find a piccy of your tent and it looks brilliant!!! It must have been one heck of a wind to flatten a tunnel!!! Our Vario 5 stood up to 25 mile a hour winds on the east coast, bucked and rocked a bit but didnt move.
I would give it a go again and see what it is like in calmer conditions.
hiya me and our family had one of these tent also from decathlon and it was brillient never had any problems with it in over 2 years and it even stood up to a very horrendously windy night in towyn last year would definately recommend this tent have loads of confidence it them
We had a Quechua tent and were generally pleased with it - apart from the ploes going rusty. Just a few small details that could have been better but generally it was good. In the end we got a refund and bought a Diablo 900 but I still miss the simplicty of the Decathlon tent - just a bit draughty!
I think it all depends on the pegging down, we find with our tent that if we haven't pegged down as well as we could of then it plays havoc with the wind.
