weve just got a new aspen 700xl and put it up in the garden last night for a practice, its got a footprint ground sheet, however where its rained and the water has gone between the footprint and tent groundsheet a puddle has formed in the tent (theres a bit of a dip in the garden). the water is coming through a seam on the floor, now ive heard about seam sealing but is it something you have to do on a new tent. just thought id ask before i take it back and look stooopid.

that will be the problem ,and groundsheet will let water in if its trapped munderneath ,you just need to go around tucking in any edges ,under the fly ,so the rain cant run under the sig .
