leaking montana 12 tent just back from holland the tent is leaking only used 3 times 2005 model since we got it new the seams are all leaking around where the poles go over the top and where the ground sheet meets the the tent seams help
My sister recently bought an Outwell Nebraska xl... she put it up in Ulswater last week for the first time and it leaks like a seive.... the problem is in several places along the seams. Luckily, it rained shortly after she erected so the problem was immediately obvious. She's currently trying to get a refund from the shop she bought it from.
My folks have a harford and theirs leaks too and they managed to rip the skirt along the stitching when they first put it up. Glad I didn't buy an outwell now when I replaced our tent earlier this year!
Leak wasn't small as tent was leaking on all seams and into and underneath bedroom comps. Only been used 3 times and had been treated with sealant last time was used so was not expecting to be woken up by rain dripping on us when asleep in bedroom.
are u so sure its rain and not condensation due to the air in side the tent warmer then the outside, cos we had that in a rain storm sudden drop in temp and the roof looked like it was leaking all over the place, i opened all the vents and it dried up and not seen it again in worst weather.
I asked my sis if it may have been condensation too. Apparently not, as it leaked as soon as the rain started. It was that bad that they took the tent down and went home. Must be a bad batch perhaps?
strange we had ours out in all kinds of bad weather not had a leak of any kind, except when someones dam gazebo blew down and bits of it put a hole in the tent when it landed 60 feet away on us, (yes gazebos are for gardens not open campsite fields if anyone a user of them.) either we are lucky with our EX demo tent with its instructions printed all over it or its a bad few from the 100`s of thousands they made.
and know i am not a outwell fanboy, we moved on to canvas for now.
The leaks appears to be coming from the right side of the rain saver porch (inner-door), where it joins the inner side door down the stitched seam as you look at the porch door from inside the tent…
Also the seam close to this at bottom right of door It was dripping onto the floor, and ran under the left hand inner tent...
Another leak from the top of the rain saver porch inner door where it has dripped onto the groundsheet!
Still awaiting reply from supplier. They said they would have to pass onto Outwell!
