Hi all, i'm new to the world of camping. Just looking for some advise please.
i've just ordered a 7 man tent a few sleeping bags, a Campingaz Camping Chef Gas Cooker, lantern.
Does anyone know where i can get the gas for the Campingaz Camping Chef Gas Cooker it says it Operates off 904/907 Campingaz cylinders. i've looked all over the net but cant find anything.
also do i need anything else to go camping. i want to take the family in about a weeks time.
sorry for all the questions, its just that i really want to get into it. and we are all looking forward to our first camping trip.
Hi mark, welcome to ukcs. Have you got airbeds to sleep on? We like to take a folding picnic table and a couple of comfy chairs. we also take a porta potti and a kitchen stand to put the stove on, and a windbreak. Really depends on how much space you have in your car.
Your stove should work from either campingaz or calor gas bottles you just need to get the right regulator to fit it to them. Some else will be along soon with better info.
Dunno about the gas but - your gonna need a cool box (dont use the freeze thingies use a 4 pint milk container filled with water and it should last you all weekend) and something nice and comfy to sit on - you dont want to be uncomfy whilst you sip your lager do you now Something to sleep on - we use one of the rubberised canvas double matteresses and sleep like babies. Oh and somewhere to keep the lager cold as well
Thanks for the advice guys. i forgot about airbeds, tables and coolbox. heres me getting ready to go with my tent, sleeping bags and stove. the kids wouldnt have been impressed thats for sure.
mstodge the 904/907 bottles readily available from stores in most areas ....however as you do not give a location on your profile you are making it harder for us to tell you of a stockist nearby where you live if you put 230014031086 into an ebay search this will show you what they are like alternativly try 907 campingas bottle hope this helps and welcome to ukcs ..happy trails
