Having had a bit of a nightmare recently with our Vango Vista 600 which we've had for 4 years and now it just breaks every time we go camping we've decided to splash out on a Montana 6 after the rave reviews it's got on here. Whats the best price available at the mo? I've found £309.99 with free delivery so far, can anyone do better?
Also is it really any good in the rain / wind (ie howling gale)
Hi, we just bought a Monty 6 and had it out for the first time 2 weeks ago. it rained for a day and the tent was as dry as... ours was on ebay brand new for £329 with free p&p so yours seems cheap
I've noticed that most Montys with faults or for that matter any outwell goods seem to come from Yeomans... we had two windbreaks with rips and a Monty 6 canopy with a hole... our friends had 5 Monty 6 side canopies from them and still aren't happy....
our tent was from Event Essentials down south and was complete and perfect first time out the box. I've noticed with Yeomans that a lot of there products aren't in the original packaging which leads me to believe that people have tampered with your purchases prior to you....
good luck with your purchase and they are as good as they say!!!
Hiya, we got our Monty at the start of the season and have used it in VERY, VERY windy conditions and at times it was VERY, VERY wet!!!! Not a leak or broken pole or collapsed tent or anything. I really rate this tent...............not, as some people would argue, the easiest tent in the world to put up BUT by no means the hardest either. All in all, I'd say "go for it" we have had no problems AT ALL with this tent...........................touch wood
I agree with the previous posts - I can't praise the Monty 6 enough! We bought ours second hand from Ad-mag for £230 including the extra canopy and it has had a bit of a battering weather-wise with no problems at all. If you've got the time it is a good idea to visit camp shows and make a note of all the tents you like, and then wait for the first one to come up in the ad-mag. OK, so you're taking a bit of a chance, but as long as you see it up before you buy it you could save yourself a fortune.
i hope your wrong about yeomans as i am waiting delivery of an outwell sv8 which is due to arrive tomorrow.fingers crossed or there will be hell to pay!
