We are thinking of getting a smaller tent to use at weekends.

At the moment we have a large tent (http://www.slumbalux.co.uk/factoryshop/versions.php?hdnVersionID=1) for the 4 of us which is great for our main week holidays but we find it is far too big to put up just for the odd 1 or 2 nights away.

Could any of you experts! please give some advice for a smaller but easy to pitch tent which would be suitable as a weekend tent for 2 adults and 2 children.As the children are young we usually sleep in one pod.

We got a Gelert Cadiz 5 last year for our weekends away and there are 2 adults and 2 kids.  We got it for £60 in the sale at Halfords.  We've been really pleased with it and it has had some battering in the wind one weekend.  I can actually put it up on my own aswell.

The ever popular, and excellent value, Vango Venture 500/600 should be on your shortlist.

Others, similar to the Vango, are the Easycamp Napoli & Torino (one has a SIG for the living area). If you want bigger single space, there is the Kyham/Campus Amazon and Harvard; and the Gelert Skydome 6 (which I have).

Plus, have a look at Campus/Kyham Yale - the reason I suggest it, is that it is more like a single chamber tent, than a vis-a-vis. It is a single inner with just dividers. This gives great space, comfort with the SIG and it is easy to put up.
