phat_ninja When did you buy your sv8 though cause it seems to be the 2006 models that are having the problems.

it's inner tent pitch first...if it's raining, it'll get wet...seems heavy as well at 52kg

we went to ccc based nr wakefield and they had a tent exhibition outside we looked at all the big family tents and all the tent which pitch inner first i could not see any traces of leaking but in the single skinned ones there was, especially the outwells all the tents looked that they had been out a while though but i still am swaying myself to a double skin tent like the aspen, if I could afford it though I would go for the outwell norfolk lake they had a bear lake at the exhibition and the quality was outstanding it is the exact same layout as the sv8!
