This is the same model as the Campus Indiana 8 which is an easy tent to put up. If I remember correctly the poles are colour coded (but I maybe wrong). The poles slide through the sleeves at the top of the tent and attach at the bottom via a ring and pin mechanism. The flysheet clips onto the external fibre glass poles by 'C' clips. All in all a quick tent to put up and pack away. When pegged out the bedroom pods are easy to fit into place.
Before buying one try to see one already put up in a show room, any questions can then be answered by the staff, you may even be able to get them to give you a demonstration.
We have last years Campus Indiana 8, same tent branded differently this year and small changes made, that is colour and window! We love our Indy, we like the fact that its height means even my 6'1" hubby can stand in it we also like the versatility of hanging the bedrooms, put them in or leave them out depending on the set up you want.
Yes it is easy to put up, just as patch666 has described.
Ours came to Cornwall with us this year and did really well on a rather exposed site with a fair amount of wind.
We have one as well (Campus Indiana 8) and as the above folk have mentioned it's a doddle to put up/take down. Stacks of living space. We have a table, four chairs, camp kitchen, larder and fridge in ours and theres still room for more.
Very flexible in the sleeping as quinnys said too... one large pod for all four people maximising your living area with a front porch, two pods (either one large and one small or two small) for four or six people or all three pods if you want loads of sleeping space for four, or if you want six or eight people sleeping!!
We love it, but we are changing it!! It'll be up for sale if you are interested... we have decided to get the kids their own pup tents now they are older and get something for the two of us!!!
We find ours is great. It doesn't take up as much pitch space as the multi pods, but it also has headroom in the bedreeoms, not just the living area.
A good tent. The poles are colour coded, although the sticker fade after a while. easiest way to remember is that the longes pole does the centre and the poles get progressively smaller moving away from the centre.
Kyham have a video on their website for puting this tent up we have the Gelert Alaska 8 which is actualy identical to the Indiana 8 as we found out last week while we were away only difference was the colour. We actually watched the video and it did give us a few good tips on putting the tent up. Hope this helps
Thanks for all the replies. We have taken the plunge and bought the Kyham Indiana 8. Hope its fine this weekend so we can practise putting it up and taking it down! Have watched the video several times now, hope it is as easy as what it looks.
We got one of these this summer and have no complaints. We followed the printed instructions that came with it when we first practised pitching it and got there in the end. We then found the video and that seemed more straight forward so gave that a try and found that to be a much better method.
