i am forever going camping alone as OH has to work saturdays now and i have heard that there are some sort of pop up tent that are big enough for a family but apparently pricey
can any one tell me there name/make and where i can view them on web?
i can manage to put our litchfield 900 up with help of 7 yr old daughter but wouldnt mind making life easyier for myself!!!
I think they are really only for sleeping in. There is a three person version here and one which has a teeny weeny porch to put bags in http://seconds.quechua.com/EN/main.html MT

If you just want to make your life easier for you and your 7 year old, then there are plenty of converntional tents that are easy single handed - Venture 500, Arizona L, Kyham Freelander...even canvas tents.

Robens Valley Lodge & Cabanon Pyramide 6 "... kids you distract the bear, while I run to the car...."
There is a lady on here with a seven man one and she posted an excellent series of photos on here of her putting it up - it was those photos that sold it to me!! (OH still looking for her-not happy that yet another tent has arrived-anyone remember who it was??!!??)
Are there not some austrailian single skinned big pop up tents. Was thinking about this the other day. What kind of a lunatic would camp with all the hideously poisonous things and added risk of dingos, I would want more than a single skinned tent. I think this is why Austrailians keep chickens in the garden, its a kind of canary thing if they die you worry.
Decathlon sell those pop-up tents and I have to say they are great for the price, approx £40 upwards. There is a three man priced at £44.95, and I am sure I saw more instore.
They had a pop up at Towsure in Sheffield. Me, the OH and the 3 kids all climbed in but I'd definately say it was cramped!!!!!!!!!! Also got some very strange looks Personally, I have to be able to stand up in a tent else cabin fever sets in, but if there is one tall enough I'd invest in it as a weekender.
Just had a look at the 9 man version... now I'm tempted!

I know who it was...pics are here run backwards from pic 21
I like the look of the T2XL from Quechua but you can only get them in Decathlon Stores and we don't have one by us. You can't order on line or over the phone, you have to go there. Now looking at the Khyam quick and easy tents again and trying to decide what to do.
