Hello as you allready know were new to this camping thing, anyway taking tent out this weekend for first trip so hope it goes well, thing is weve borowed airbeds from friends and on a quick try they dont seem that great (They are budget ones) the thing is when i was at gooutdoors getting a few bits yesterday i tryed some of the self inflating matts and they seemed really good but expensive £35 for a single. As we will be buying the rest of our kit in the newyear dont know wether to go for a good airbed or matt has anybody got any advice?
Thermarests are not the cheapest item, but they are extremely comfortable, and a good insulator from the cold floor. Depends how much you are willing to pay for a good night's sleep - I look at it in relation to how much I'd pay to be comfortable in a B&B.
