I popped into Poundland today, and they had metal handled hard rubber mallets, ideal for those stubburn tent pegs, they also had lots of other bibs and bobs like glow sticks (I think they were packs of 10.
Might be worth a look, hey?
By the way, don't ask me how much they cost, 'cos they weren't bloomin' priced up!! typical!!

watch the head doesent fly off ,ours did and went a fair distance ,very amusing to the neighbour! luckily we had our old one too

luckily it didnt hit them otherwise it would be a fiver for a bit of steak to lessen the black eye i probably would have recieved as a thank you ,i'l stick to my £3.99 wooden handled jobbie that has served us well for years
