Have got weekend tent sorted and just had lovely coulpe of says away in it (Attwoolls Bibury aka Kyham Yale!) and perfect it is for up to 3 nights but like to plan and want to decide which tent for 2007. I love the Sunvalley 8, Nebraska XL and Montana 12. But which would be best for a family of 4 (kids 10 and 7), 2 week hols in france, son is autistic and loves his own space and wants own room! Like the montana but then know I would end up buying matching daytent and canopy (how much?) whereas I see the Nebraska which we had to return due to leaks not having to buy canopy and love bedroom layout and then theres the SV8 which has the great porch. The indecision is driving me up the wall. I know I have months to choose but just keep looking at them and getting more confused. We are not experienced campers and I want to make the right decision.
Other important factors are.
1. pack size and weight.
2. easy to pitch (did find Nebraska difficult and very heavy).
3. Insect mesh on all doors a must for France.
Help me before I go slowly potty. I am interested in hearing others experiences of these tents and if I could manage without matching day tent and what if any use is the Montana porch?
if you want one of these tents wait till next year (new models).personally i wouldnt touch outwell this year, too many probs .u have only got to read threads on outwell to see what i mean.my advice research and dont rush.
scrub the my last reply didnt read your thread prop..my advice having had one this year would be the sv8 great tent
plenty of room for 6 of us never mind 4.every thing u need all in one tent,a doddle to pitch..............if outwell get their act together next year and fix problems, that is.
hiya, we have the outwell xxl and love it. one complete tent to put up, loaaads of space to play and sleep, we have used ours and also had the hose pipe on it with no leaks. yes very heavy but has lots of windows, ventilation, nets on all windows and bedroom pods, huge porch etc, highly recommend
