we have just been on our first night out camping and yes we all have got the bug. We went to The Three Rivers camp site at West Bradford near Clitheroe it was great and they made us feel very welcome.
p.s my son loves playing football and watching him and another boy playing football at 10:30 at night with torches made us all laugh
Welcome burnleylee..... you will have a ball camping and what a gift to give to your son. He will probably carry on camping for many years. Just enjoy your camping and learn to take the good as well as the not so good!
Have fun!

Yeah your sad.........but no different to loads of others on here ......lol
Welcome to the world of camping. It will be the best thing you have ever done I know has been for us. Always camped as a kid and now my kids are camping.
Only discovered camping a few months ago but already experienced my first thunder storm whilst under canvas. There is nothing can to compare to cuddling down in a big thick sleeping bag with your better half whilst it's thundering and rain is beating on your tent.
The wind worried me slightly....but i put that down to the beans earlier in the evening.
