have just bought a sun valley 8 from yeomans for the excellent price of £299. The snag I have is how are you supposed to peg down the single guide ropes which come from the lips of the sun canopy. All the other guide ropes are attached to the tent in two places making it simple to peg down ??? Have I lost the plot here ?

Any help would be appreciated ??

There`s a slider on the guyrope, yes? The guyrope is normally threaded through the slider in such a way that there are two loops. Pull one out and try pegging through it. Does it hold when you tension the slider? No? Then you got the wrong loop. Use the other one. (One holds, one doesn`t, but it`s impossible to describe which one.)

The tension is provided by the slider, so make a big loop, peg down so that the guyline is at 45` to the ground and straight out from the lip of the sun canopy then snug the tensioner up.

HTH.
