I used Fabsil on both of our canvas tents after I'd thoroughly washed all the waterproofing out of them - we bought them second hand, so they needed a wash to get the muck outta them 
We've used both tents since & they didn't let a drop of water in, even though the big one went through a torrential thunder storm. By the way I brushed the Fabsil on, rather than spraying it. Beware, it does kill the grass
