Please could enyone advise me about lifting ground sheets !

This seems to be a requirement during the day at a site we wish to visit this year.

sorry but i have never heard this before and what do you do if you have a sig i would be very surprised if any one asked me to liftt a ground sheet during my stay

Yes I've heard about this   They're a bit too particular about their grass going brown, which it shouldn't do until the groundsheet has been down for 4-5 days! They will usually allow 'breathable ground sheets', but these are expensive and if you stay for a week or more the grass will actually grow through the little holes in them

Anyway most tents have a sewn-in ground sheet for the sleeping pods, and you can't lift them every day can you?

To be quite honest, it will be a pain to keep moving all your gear and lifting the ground sheet in the living area every day, then re-laying it at night. If you really want to use this site, it would probably be easier to leave your groundsheet at home.

This is not uncommon practice for breathable groundsheets in caravan awnings, but not really on for camping when you have solid groundsheets in bedroom inners anyway, do you think?

I'd check with the site, as it surely only applies to caravanners?
