Evening all....

I wonder if anyone can give me some advice on the Sunncamp Oasis 600??

We want a new tent this year and after having a tent without the SIG, we now both want one with the SIG. I'm tired of having that gap between the outer tent and the groundsheet so we'd like to be all built-in.

I like my space so even though there are only 2 of us, I like a 6 man tent so that one sleeping compartment is a comfy size and the other can store all our belongings.

I've come across this tent and it looks really nice and spacious.

Has anyone else got one or can you recommend another one for me to consider?

Thanks

have a look at the vango Aspens, I have been told the sunncamp Oasis is a copy of the Aspens and sunncamp are not allowed to make any more. I was also interested in the oasis before I bought the aspen but couldnt see it up anywhere.

As mentioned the closest thing is the Vango Aspen, in fact given the Oasis came out later, one could sumise that the Oasis is a copy of the Aspen.

I have not seen many on sites, so suspect that not many were sold - does not make it a bad tent, just that it was not well marketed.

When I saw one at the Wokingham show, one thing I noted was that the bedrooms were really one compartment with just hanging dividers (unlike the Vango) - i.e. the Vango oferred a bit more privacy. it is worth checking on the new set up, as it could have changed or I could be wrong (memory from getting old).

As with the Aspen, IMO, the Oasis has great use of space without making a huge pitch spread; just a bit of pain to pitch, especially as inner first.

Oasis is the same as aspen except for the pole construction which is alloy legs and x flex fibreglass roof poles as against all steel. Therefore lighter but at the expense of some strength. Not in sunncamp 2007.
