Crumpets, I'm itching! Reading all this tent talk makes me ache to go camping right now. Think I'll pack the wigwam in the car tomorrowand go just ANYWHERE!!!! Johnny
Whooo...I'm replying to myself! How sad is that!? I've already got two perfectly good tents, but I keep seeing irresistible things like teardrop trailers, gypsy caravans, pop-up tents, motorbike trailers, camping punts, caraboats, Bambi motorhomes - I want 'em all! Anyone else in the same boat? Johnny

Yep, we actually stopped to look at a pick-up truck for sale in a garage, the other day, because it had a tent pitched in the back (sad! )!
Too busy getting the essentials together...perhaps a bit quick buying the sun-room and now starting to wonder how on earth were going to get everything in the boot of the mitsubishi carisma - its quite spacious, but just a boot!
Next I'll be wanting a top box - or whatever its called....where does it end...?
Seen those Gypsy Caravans from link on other Thread - wow!! And I could sell pegs too!
broad bean I only have 5 tents and all the equipment I need to take 35 scouts with me. I have the car space for 7 adults and all my camping stuff I need nothing more than my own site.
so now i am looking for a new house, th eonly criteria is that I can put all 5 tents up in the garden at once.
My new canservatory and outdoor hand built spa would be left to dust f I could just have 12 moths of camping....lol
Thanks for all the advice, campers! I'm orfffff on an adventure at teatime! Now, a pick-up truck with a tent in the back...you've got me thinking...I like it! I've often thought a large raft with a couple of dome tents on top would make a super holiday, drifting downriver, but not sure where you could do this!
I once went to see a home-made motorhome for sale in the paper. When I got there, it was actually a caravan, less its wheels, mounted on a long flatbed truck! It looked comical - as if it was a caravan being delivered by road. And you needed steps to get into it!
What we really need is a huge 'UK Campsite Warehouse' resource containing a motorhome, gypsy caravan, VW camper, Lotus Seven, a trailer tent, a teardop trailer, a Harley Davidson, a selection of tents, an autogyro, jetski,a Broads cruiser, Mazda MX5, etc. Then each month we could all go and take out a different toy!
Daisybev, if you get your big five-tent garden, open it up as The Daisybev Campsite. You could bring cups of tea round at 7am!
