Hi, nothing much is needed to do if you wish to camp with other members / friends etc. other than find a site that you wish to visit , check they have a few pitches available and book your pitch.
Then simply post a new thread with the details of the meet.
In the thread subject include the title of the meet, location, and dates if possible, so it's easy to identify
In the body, make sure you include the dates and link to the site details ask if anyone wants to join you and request they book a pitch direct with the site.
Include a few details of the meet and any other relevant info - prices etc.
That's it. Wait for the others to post on the thread, and enjoy!
Oh and when you return if you would like a Photo gallery for your weekend away, just drop me a line and I will set you one up
Things to consider when choosing a site include whether of course they will take a group! Also ensure that the site can cater for all types of unit ideally, and has facilities for kids. Generally you may not be able to use designated rally fields, as they are normally restricted to Defra exemption certificate holders. Just need to find a site which can pitch you all together on their standard pitches.
Booking needs to be done by the individuals concerned, direct with the site, and you need to ensure that you comply with their rules.
Basically treat it as if you were arranging a get together with a group of friends, just using the website as a way of communicating to organise things.
Hi all i am very new to this site so still trying to find my feet , I did notice that there isnt a lot for the north of scotland , I am just back from a camping trip the west coast of scotland and the beaches were out of this world so beautiful like been abroad and the added bonus was having the sun , Went to a campsite 4 miles out of mallaig the site was on basically on the beach was surprisingly enough not to cold at all , If anybody gets a chance look up beaches near mallaig the picture speak for them selfs , I would be like so happy if some one one day could arrange a meet up there , I would certainly be there without a doubt !!!
Hi I know this is a UK site but I'm the recent owner of an old combi camper based in Cork. Was wondering if there are trailer tent members out there who would like a meet up in S. Ireland or if anyone knows of a funky and active Irish group I could hook up with. Its usually me and my 10yr old daughter and her friend/s.
Hiya, please either follow the instructions in the first post of this thread or start a new thread in the correct section asking if the is any interest. Good luck with the meet.
Hi Im new to this, I have recently separated and do not want to give up my camping. I have a small caravan and a tent so can do either. I would love to attend some meets and meet new people.Who knows when I get my head around how it works I might organise something myself :-)
I'm in a similar situation and recently did a couple of local trips on my own one in Anglesey and one Nr to Bangor by the river Ogwen. I enjoyed myself but would like to try similar with a group or another guy. Might try Eurocamp for some sun Spain sounds interesting. Anyone interested in having a chat to pursue a joint venture I'm in my seventies and been caravaning for over 40yrs.
