Not sure how old you are but we're arranging a "young person's" meet for 18-35's.
I'm based in Ipswich but don't tend to camp around here unless it's with DofE groups and I doubt you'd want to camp with them! The Orchards at Wickham Market is a nice site though.
theres a meet at Scratby Hall near Great Yarmouth in june, its on the meets section for east anglia, its £8 per night per unit, so not expensive, i think its 26th, 27th, and 28th. I am a going and at the moment my young son is coming with me, but if he changes his mind, i'm still going....... ( will just lock him under the stairs lol)
Apprecaite this is reply is a few months since your posting. I'm a single mum ( + 2 adorable guineas) who is in her first year of proper camping. Last year was the first time with son and ex boyfriend for 3 days. But this year I've really caught the bug. So much so I've bought new tents that I can put up and go away with on my own. Just been to the New Forest (really lovely but does get booked up) with my son (now 13. Would be very happy to meet up . I camp alone, which is fine but would be nice to have company, a natter etc.
Im another solo camper based in Cambridge, on the limit of that meet age limit ;) I have my last outing planned for this year already, but next year maybe we could plan a meet up? Yorkshire was on my list of places to go.
Hi isla and all, Im based near boston Lincs so not far, im also a solo camper and always looking for new places to try out. if your ever in need of a camping buddy give me a nudge, week ends week days and short notice are fine as i tend to just grab my gear an go when the mood takes me anyway.
