Our caravan was serviced last month and damp was found. It is covered under the extended warranty and Coachman have agreed it. The dealer phoned me today and told me that they had some but not all of the parts needed and would we fetch them to stop them being muddled up with others. Is this usual? It would mean a 60 mile round trip.

Sounds odd to me. Normal garages get parts delivered to them if they need them, can't see why a caravan place should be different.

Never heard that before, seems very odd.

The other thing that seems odd to me is "to stop them being muddled up with others". Doesn't sound like a very organised department, why should parts ordered potentially be "muddled up with others"?

It's not just the inconvenience to consider.
If the service company obtain the parts and there is a problem with them then it is their problem to sort out the problem. If you have supplied the parts then it is your problem.
