Iam having problems with a new caravan battery on my 2014 coachman 560/4 vip it's a new battery but it's only holding its charge for about 12 hours. In that time the charge just goes down from13.5 v to 5.5v so I have to take it off and recharge it from the mains. Hope someone can help me thanks
after you have recharged it from the mains and before you connect it to the caravan does the battery hold its charge.. if it dosnt its a faulty battery..
does the caravan charger work or does it not.. more information is needed..
As Trog says, check the voltage when off the caravan. Faulty 'new' batteries are not unknown.
Next check out the voltage from the charger. It should be around 14+ volts. Anything less and the charger could be faulty.
An 8volt drop in 12 hours is huge----Even with every 12volt appliance turned on.

Yes it holds it charge when I connect it back to the caravan it starts to loose its charge then after about12 hours the fridge goes of and then everything else
