Hi all

My shower room sink tap has started leaking, so a job for winter !!

Its a Caraflow swivel/lever tap. I was wondering if there are seal kits available to repair them or if it's just a case of a new tap.

Any thoughts from anyone please ?

Sometimes its a cartridge problem and all you need is a new one, I'm never that lucky and ended up buying a new unit.

Thanks for that.   With the help of that vid I've got the cartridge out.

I was wrong about the make though they are not Caraflow taps but Comet.

Just got to track down a replacement and try it.

I've just looked at the Screwfix ones on the net. One of the holes with the seal round them is a different shape to mine, ( mine are all perfect circles if that makes sense).

I could always go and check them. I have found one on the Leisure Shop Direct site that looks a perfect match, a bit more expensive at £15 though.

Still an improvement on a new tap at £70 odd.

If it is not the cartridge but leaking around the swivel top or bottom here are the seals. http://www.caravan-components.co.uk/Washers-for-Single-Lever-Mixer-Tap-Pair

There are 2 sizes 35mm and 40 mm, measure across the end with the holes. Mine was the 35mm one.

From looking at it when we were out It seemed to be coming from under the lever, I dont think it was out of the swivel joints.

I'll put a new cartridge in it and then check. It should be easier to tell with the lever and the shroud off.
