Hi guys. New to tourung caravans recently tried to put one of my corner stead legs down and it went very loose and out fell what looks to be a bracket or bush of some sort ot sits in the leg and the ling threaded bolt goes through it to raise the leg up and down (IMAGES BELOW) i have a sterling 520 4 birth tourer.
Is this an easy fix please as at the moment i cant use the one side corner steady leg and where can i sourxe the part from.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Whole new steady required. Get from any decent caravan accessory shop or a multitude of online shops.

That is the slide nut that runs up and down the spindle. see here
You have two choices, replace the whole unit, (pretty expensive) or dismantle it to get the new nut in, (cheap but awkward), neither choice is an easy one if the bracket is under the shower tray because of access to the retaining bolts from the top.

A temporary fix to let you use the caravan is a couple of wood blocks and a car jack.
I would start wire brushing the retaining bolts and applying plenty of penetrating oil now. The longer it has time to soak in the better!

new steadies are not that expensive.. the snag is you cant get at the top of the fixing bolts they are hidden away under something or other..
i made the mistake of cutting mine off with an angle grinder before realizing it was impossible to replace the bolts..
i drilled two more holes at the side of the original holes and used a couple of hefty coach bolts/screws.. luckily their was enough solid timber to screw into for a good fixing..
if you can undo the nuts replacing a steady is easy.. if you cant it becomes more difficult..
