We've used our second-hand van for the second time this weekend. The van has an Enduro motor mover fitted by the previous owners. On our first trip with it last October the mover worked when we arrived on site but when we left we couldn't operate it for some reason.
We've been told that we need to press the 'on' button twice in quick succession to operate it but when we do this all we get is a flashing on light and no operation. Does anyone know what this means? Is this user error?
Things we've checked the leisure battery is outputting 13.2 volts and the mover is engaged. The mover is only a couple of years old with little use.
The previous owner showed us it working but we don't have a manual. What are we doing wrong?
The most common problem we've had with ours is that the battery (pp3) in the remote needs to be replaced about once a year.
If it needs replacing you will find that when you press the on button on the remote twice in quick succession you won't hear the response in the form of a 3 pulse type sound from the mover.
Another problem we've had is that since our base unit lives under the fixed bed and we store a fair amount of stuff there the little telescopic aerial can get knocked and if it is layed flat range is greatly reduced between it and the remote control resulting in unsatisfactory or intermittent performance.
We've found our Enduro to be very reliable over the last 7 years aside from the problems I've outlined.
hi linus try changing batter in hand set also see if it runs when not engaged. when you press the on button check if the green light is on. on the control box. I would check that all cables a tight . do not be too far from unit. some times switching of and back on after 10 seconds. malc
Forgot to mention that the we did change batteries in the remote as we thought that might be a problem.
Did you say you're meant to get a sound from the mover itself and not from the remote? We get a continuous beep from the remote when we turn it on and then a flashing green light.
Hi Linus, not sure which model you have but don't engage the mover onto the wheels to start off with, no load on motors and they may turn showing the battery is the problem. Also check for a power isolation switch, it may simply be in the off position.
If your set-up is like our's, two taps on the red button switches the handset on, (little red LED on it too) but also wakes up the control panel on which you should hear three clicks as the relays switch on/off, if nothing is heard there is not responding and it will just sit there doing nothing, also try the handset fairly close to the control panel for better reception and see how you get on.

We have a strong sneaking suspicion that we are being stoopid!
Batteries in remote - check; telescopic aerial upright - check; power on mover - er, definitely not check! But we've not seen an on switch anywhere, having said that we've not looked.
Van is in storage so we'll check that one this weekend.
No probs, easy thing to do if you've only just had it. Isolation switches are generally chunky affairs as lots of current flows when moving van up a slope. Our switch has a detachable red plastic key thing which fits into a red spindle with a slot on one side. it's for the brass pin in it to engage so that you can turn it 90 degrees, yours may be different but it's generally not too far from the battery.

Do you have 3 AAA batteries in the remote? If so, you may have the same model as us & we have to reset ours whenever we've changed the batteries.
Assuming you have a single axle van, remove 1 of the batteries, press and hold the button on the front of the remote which would normally rotate the caravan forward/clockwise and, at the same time, install the final battery. The handset will then sound a single buzz. After that all should work as normal. A bizarre procedure, but
it's what our manual tells us to do & has worked for us.
Hope this helps & good luck.
try seeing if it works with mover not touching wheels ,as this will allow it work free of load so will let you know if its the caravan battery that is low on power

Well done. If you don't switch off the red isolator the mover switches itself off. You then have to switch the red isolator off and back on to reset it. Does this for safety.
Hi had our mover 5yrs now and I still forget to switch on at master switch sometimes. there I,am all excited to go and a false start, much to the amusement of the kids and cries of do you want me to do it dad.
